In St. Imier, in the Jura mountains of Switzerland, Leon Breitling opens 1884 a workshop specialising in making chronographs and precision counters for scientific and industrial purposes. Many Breitling watches are equipped with additional functions such as the flyback function, split-second, moon phase, date display and other complications.
