-Se it known that we. AUGUSTE HENCHOZ-ARNOLD and FRITZ HENCHOZ - HUGUENIN,
-both of Locle, in the canton of Neuchatel and -Republic of Switzerland, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in  Stop-Watches, of which the following is a specification.
-This invention bas reference to an ourimproved stop-watch for timing purposes, which is set in motion y the third wheel of the watch-movement and intermediate gearing in such a manner that the parts forming the timing attachment are independent from the movement, and are quickly thrown in er out of gear, so as to make the starting or stopping of the quartersecond hand almost instantaneous, without any extra forward or recoiling motion.
-The invention conaists of the combination, with the shifting and stopping levers of a timing attachment, of a vertically-movable gearwheel actuated by the third wheel of the movement, and provided wich a conical dielt st the uader side, the arbor of the gear-wheel being lowered or raised by the startlng-lever in connection with a spring of the bridge, so that the gear-wheel is thrown in or out of mesh with a slightly-beveled intermediate pinion that transmits the motion front the gear - wheel to the heart-wheel and the quarter-second hand, which latter is started, stopped, aud returned by the usual mechanism employed in stop-watches.
-In the accompanying drawings, Figure 1 represents a top view of our improved stop-watch, in which the operating parts are shown in a position of rest, with the quarter-second hand at zero. Fig. 2 is a detail vertical transverse section of the same on line x x, Fig. 1; and Figs.3 and 4 are detail top views, showing the operating parts of the stop-watch, respectively, in position for starting and stopping the quarter-second hand, -

-SE ist es bekannt, dass wir. AUGUSTE Henchoz-ARNOLD und FRITZ Henchoz - Huguenin,
-beide Locle im Kanton Neuenburg und-Republik Schweiz haben sich bestimmte neue und nützliche Verbesserungen im Stop-Uhren, von denen die folgenden ist eine Spezifikation erfunden.
-Diese Erfindung bas anhand eines ourimproved Stoppuhr für den Zeitablauf Zwecke, die in Bewegung y das dritte Rad der Uhr-Bewegung und Zwischengetriebe in einer solchen Weise, dass die Teile, welche die Timing-Anlage unabhängig von der Bewegung sind festgelegt ist, und schnell in ER aus Getriebe geworfen, um so die An-oder Abschalten des quartersecond Hand fast augenblicklich, ohne zusätzliche Vor-oder Rückläufetüren Bewegung zu machen.
-Die Erfindung conaists der Kombination mit der Verschiebung und Stoppen Hebel eines Timing-Anlage, mit einer vertikal beweglichen Zahnrad durch das dritte Rad der Bewegung betätigt wird, und eine konische vorgesehen wich dielt Runde der uader Seite der Dorn des Schaltvorgangs Rad abgesenkt oder von der startlng-Hebel angehoben Verbindung mit einer Feder der Brücke, so dass das Zahnrad in oder aus ist der Eingriff mit einem leicht abgeschrägten Zwischenritzel, was die Bewegung vor überträgt die in Unordnung - Rad nach Herz-Rad und die Viertel-Sekundenzeiger, der letztere wird gestartet, gestoppt, kehrte AUD durch den üblichen Mechanismus im Stop-Uhren beschäftigt.
-In den beigefügten Zeichnungen stellt 1 eine Draufsicht auf die verbesserten Stoppuhr, bei dem die Funktionsteile sind in einer Ruhestellung dargestellt, wobei die Viertel-Sekunde bei Null. Abb.. 2 ist ein Detail vertikalen Querschnitt der gleichen Linie XX, Abb. 1; und den 3 und 4 sind Draufsichten Detail und zeigt die operativen Teile der Stoppuhr bzw. in Position für das Starten und Stoppen des Viertel-zweiter Hand, -
-Ähnliche Referenzschreiben zeigen correspending Teile.
-Die timingattachment der verbesserten Stoppuhr wird in Bewegung des dritten Rades der Uhr-Bewegung mittels einer Zwischenschicht Dorn tragenden ein Ritzel kämmt mit dem dritten Rad und einem Zahnrad zur Übertragung der Bewegung zu dem Zeitpunkt Anlage festgelegt.
