Glashuette hunting case minute repeating pocket watch of museum quality "Grande Complication" with double chronograph, perpetual calendar and moon phase

One of the most fascinating highlights of the auction will doubtlessly be the important Glashuette double chronograph hunting case watch with perpetual calendar, moon phase and minute repetition created by Lange & Soehne, with an est. limit of EUR 250.000 - 450.000 EUR) - a unique treasure waiting to enhance any premium collection! An exceptionally important piece of history being presented during this auction is the pendant watch marked with the master’s stamp "CW", Caspar Werner Nuremberg 1548, from the Abeler watch museum in Wuppertal; this is the earliest dated and monogrammed Renaissance pendant watch known today.

The wide range of objects includes for example a Lepaute table regulator, a piece crafted by one of the most eminent French watchmakers; the dial was created by Coteau (est. limit EUR 100.000 - 150.000). James Drury's important carriage clock of ca. 1780 has a quarter hour strike, musical mechanism, date and moon age, central minute and split seconds "Seconde Foudroyante"; it will be presented with an est. limit of EUR 50.000 - 60.000. Other highlights will be for example Henry Capt's important Geneva pocket watch with musical mechanism and jacquemart, ca. 1840 (est. limit EUR 70.000 - 100.000), or the unique Renaissance automaton "Calvary" of museum quality, circa 1580 (est. limit EUR 75.000 - 100.000).

A very fine gold gem-set singing bird box with original matching key

The collectors and fans of musical boxes will certainly be turning their attention to the gold and gemstone songbird box by Frères Rochat à Genéve, circa 1820 (est. limit EUR 37.000 - 46.000), and the exquisitely decorative ensemble consisting of a gold enamel lady's pocket watch with matching chatelaine and original box by Lepine à Paris, ca. 1810 (est. limit EUR 14.000 - 18.000) is truly a treasure to behold.

pair-cased verge pocket watch "Hera und Zeus" - The artistic quality of the enamel painting and the perfection of the finish suggest that this was created by the Huaut family

The artistic quality and perfect workmanship of the enamel painting on the important double case pocket watch with verge escapement "Hera and Zeus" by Henry Jones of London, ca. 1690, suggests that it was executed by the Huaut family; this wonderful piece has an est. limit of EUR 37.000 - 45.000. The so-called à Geneve "No. 3" by Albert Potter, ca. 1860, is the earliest known pocket chronometer Potter ever created (est. limit EUR 100.000 - 150.000).
