Time in its new form
The year 2017 has begun very positive for Junghans: the retailers are impressed by the new sales concepts and the FORM watch range. In addition, Junghans has also received two awards.
The INHORGENTA MUNICH, which took place this year from 18 to 21 February 2017, was a highly successful fair for Uhrenfabrik Junghans. For the venerable, Schramberg-based company the fair is a key platform on which to nurture existing contacts, whilst it also proved possible to acquire new customers from Germany and abroad. The complete collection was displayed on the 300 m2 stand, with visitors also enjoying two special features: a Junghans cinema, showing both historic and contemporary films of the company, as well as a highlight from the Steim car collection: a fully restored Mercedes Benz 500 K from 1935.
The response of the specialist retailers and press to the new models was particularly encouraging for Junghans. The new watchline FORM, which combine modern design with classic watchmaking, met with approval. Th new Meister Driver models, inspired by the design of historic classic cars from the Steim car collection, were also enthusiastically received.
The Inhorgenta Award, presented this year for the first time, was won by Junghans in the category "Watch Design". "We are proud to have won this prize with our max bill Chronoscope. Because each of our timepieces is German made, representing both quality and design," says Matthias Stotz, Man-aging Director of Uhrenfabrik Junghans.
Junghans was also in line for a distinction with the Goldene Unruh, one of the top German awards in the watch sector. In the category up to 2,500 euros the readers of Uhren-Magazin and Focus online awarded 2nd place to the Meister Pilot.
"With this successful start behind us we are looking to the Baselworld from 23 to 30 March 2017 in good spirits."
