Dingwall & Co wurde wahrscheinlich vom Uhrmacher John Dingwall gegründet. Er arbeitete um 1771 in London und von ihm ist eine Zylinderuhr bekannt. Die Firma Dingwall & Co war von etwa 1780 bis mindestens 1813 aktiv. Vermutlich war der Geschäftspartner zuerst eine gewisse Pratbernon in St. James street 9. In 1813 ist rede von die Firma Dingwall & Bailliam.
