A fine mid-Victorian mahogany wall timepiece of rare small size, the 8-inch dial with original spade hands and single fusee movement. The mahogany surround and case are beautifully patinated and in mint condition. The small mahogany case with opening side and bottom doors having a brass loop hanging eye and side fixings for a secure hanging. The 8 inch white painted dial with Roman numerals and blued steel hands, signed Fredrick MooreE 53-54 Charles Street Hatton Garden London, the eight day fusée movement with anchor escapement and brass bob pendulum. Dial Width: 8 in (20 cm), Overall Diameter: 10 ½ in (27 cm).
