In Granville Hugh Baillies Standardwerk "Watchmakers & Clockmakers of the World" wird Henry Walpole als Uhrmacher im Jahr 1756 und vor der Eintragung seines Warenzeichens in der Goldsmiths' Hall, nahe der Kings Road, Gray's Inn Lane, im Jahr 1765 erwähnt. Das Testament von Henry Walpole, Uhrmacher, zuletzt wohnhaft in St. Andrews, Holborn, wurde am 7. Oktober 1776 beglaubigt.
