Lépine Skelettierte Uhr, Zifferblatt

A late 18th Century skeletonised French verge in a gold and diamante set double sided consular case. Full plate fusee movement with three turned pillars. The plate and barrel cover pierced to reveal the train with a pierced and engraved stone set silver mask, a representation of a crown over the foot of the cock. Polished steel coqueret with a garnet, blue steel regulator on top plate below the plain three arm steel balance. Winding through the signed white enamel dial, Roman and Arabic numerals, diamantes set between them, stone set pierced silver hands. Engraved gold case glazed on both sides, the bezels set with small diamantes. Signed L Epine a Paris, Circa 1780, Diameter 40 mm
