Winding Crown

To distinguish the winding crown of the Oyster collection Rolex places additional signs below the distinctive Rolex-Crown, depending on the type of winding crown and the material of the watch. A watch with a Twinlock Winding Crown which is made of steel gets a dash, a case made of gold (white-, yellow- und Everose gold) has two dots und just one dot, if it is made of platinum. As a mark for a Triplock Winding crown three dots are standing for steel, a watch made of gold has three dots also, but with one bigger in the middle. With a case made of platinum the size of the tree dots is exactly opposite.
