An early 19th Century Swiss lever in silver and niello full hunter case. Nickelled split three quarter plate keyless movement with going barrel. Plain cock with polished steel regulator, uncut bimetallic balance with overcoil hairspring. Club foot lever escapement. Signed champagne coloured engine turned dial with subsidiary seconds, applied gold Arabic numerals, gilt hands. Silver full hunter case decorated on both cover with niello and line engraving in a diamond checkerboard pattern. The band also decorated with niello, plain silver cuvette. 800 standard mark and maker's mark "Niel HP" in a shield.
