he brand name Doxa is usually related to the diver’s watches with the distinctive orange-coloured dial, but even in the 1950s Doxa, first established by Georges Ducommun in 1889 in the Swiss Jura, was known for many other magnificent creations such as this chronograph with full calendar. It is fitted with the renowned Valjoux 72C movement which was also used by other important brands such as Rolex. The movement is stamped with an AXP designation, indicating that the watch was exported to the United States.
