Philippe Papillon wurde am Samstag den 7. Januar 1763 in Abbeville geboren als Sohn von François Papillon und Anne Leroy. Er war um 1700 in Abbeville als Meister Uhrmacher tätig. Er heiratete IMarie Isabelle Elisabeth Acloque (ca 1678-1738 ) am 14. September 1700 in Abbeville. Aud dieser Ehe wurde Jeanne Marguerite Papillon (1706) und Catherine Théodore Papillon ( 1716-1794) geboren.

Ein Todesdatum von Philippe Papillon ist bisher nicht bekannt.
