Abraham Bartholony war ab 1750 in Paris als Uhrmacher tätig. Bartholony war vermutlich de Sohn von Amed Bartholony welche aus Genf kam und verheiratet war mit Genevieve Mitoire welche Familie war von Pierre Mitoire.

Er war als Uhmacher auch zulieferant für die Werkstatt von Julien Le Roy. Abraham Bartholony war möglich Familie von Daniel Bartholony. Abraham Bartholony signierte vermutlich seine Uhren mit "Bartholony à Paris", doch es gibt auch Uhren signiert mit "Bartholony L’Aîné". Die abgebildete Uhr ist möglich von Abraham Bartholony doch kann aber auch von Daniel sein.
