SWISS EXHIBITORS COMMITTEE AT BASELWORLD

In 1972 the Swiss Watch and Jewellery Exhibitors set up a Swiss Exhibitors Committee. On June 21st 1988, a company was created to take the place of the Swiss Committee. This simple company was founded to comply with the regulations for exhibitors at the FEHB (former name of Baselworld). Finally, on June 10th 1993, the association of the Swiss Exhibitors Committee was established in its current form. This association represents all the Swiss Exhibitors at the BASELWORLD Show. The main goals of the association encompass promoting Swiss industry (watchmaking, jewellery, related brands) within the show, defending the interests of Swiss Exhibitors within the International Exhibitors Committee, as well as developing and running a press service. The Swiss Exhibitors Committee has experienced extremely positive development over the past few years and has established close ties with the organisers of the BASELWORLD show.

Each year, the Swiss Exhibitors Committee commissions a public relations agency to organise and develop the promotional service and press services for the Swiss Exhibitors in BASELWORLD.

During the BASELWORLD show the Swiss Exhibitors Committee runs a booth, the Swiss Press Centre (Hall 1.2/Booth B01), entirely dedicated to journalists. Within a pleasant setting, the latter can discover the latest introductions from Swiss Exhibitors and get the press kits from the Swiss brands exhibiting at BASELWORLD.
