A late 18th Century French pearl set gold and enamel watch. Unusually converted slim movement, the original pillar plate retained. Replaced engraved top plate, fusee and chain. Engraved cock polished steel regulator, visible club foot lever escapement. Compensation balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. Winding through the signed convex white enamel dial, slender Roman numerals, pierced gold hands. Gold and enamel consular case, the bezels set with split pearls. Finely painted polychrome enamel back depicting a couple in a formal garden. Gold bow and rectangular pendant.
