Sehr seltene Spindeltaschenuhr mit Datum und hochfein, polychrom bemaltem Emailzifferblatt von herausragender Qualität Geh.: Gold. Ziffbl.: Email. Werk: Vollplatinenwerk, Schlüsselaufzug, Kette/Schnecke, dreiarmige Messingunruh.
Selten sieht man ein Emailzifferblatt dieser Güte. Die hochfein bemalte Szene zeigt ein unbekleidetes Liebespaar unter einem Baum beim Einritzen ihrer Namen sowie einen Putto mit Fackel im Hintergrund.
Tardy erklärt, dass der Schweizer Uhren- und Großuhrenhersteller Meuron & Comp. im frühen 19. Jahrhundert in Neuchatel tätig war. Das Unternehmen hatte Geschäftsräume in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Paris und Genf. Die Produktpalette umfasste horologische Instrumente aller Art.

Enamel dials of this quality are very rare. The very finely painted scene shows a pair of unclothed lovers carving their name in the bark of a tree; in the background is a putto holding a torch.
Tardys states that Swiss watch and clockmakers Meuron & Comp. worked in Paris in the early 19th century. The company had premises in Neuchatel, La Chaux-de-Fonds, Paris and Geneva. They offered a wide range of horological instruments and specialized in the production of watches as well as clocks.
