A very rare late 18th Century Swiss verge with flyback calendar in a silver consular case. Full plate gilt fusee movement. Finely pierced and engraved bridge cock with polished steel coqueret, plain three arm gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. Silver regulator dial with blue steel indicator. Round pillars. Fully restored white enamel dial, small subsidiary for time with Roman numerals, gilt hands. Central hand indicating date covering 180°, when changing from the 31st of the month to the 1st the hand flies back to restart its journey. The indicator for the day of the week acts in a similar fashion but is pivoted just below the pendant. Purpose made English plain silver consular case with oval pendant and bow, hallmarked London 1813, Signed Courvoisier Houriet No. 7240 ? Circa 1790 Diameter 55 mm - Depth 11 mm
