A large late 19th Century English lever in an engine turned gold open face case. Full plate gilt keywind fusee movement with dust cover. Harrison's maintaining power. Engraved cock with garnet endstone, polished steel regulator, silver sector index on the plate. Compensation balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. English table roller lever escapement, screwed in jewelling, escape pivots with endstones. Signed white enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel hands. Substantial engine turned 18 carat open face case with ribbed middle. Vacant shield shaped cartouche on the back surrounded by a garter, maker's mark "WS" in a rectangle and number corresponding to that on the movement. Signed: Edwin Flinn Allesley Rd & London.
