A rare, almost square "one-piece" cased carriage clock with half hour / hour self strike and perpetual calendar.
Case: brass, gilt, entirely engraved with stylized foliage, florally engraved base, facet glazed on all sides, waved handle on top, hinged front door for keywinding. Dial: enamel, florally engraved gilt mask, radial Roman hours, subsidiary dials for day, date and month indication, blued trefoil-shaped hands. Movm.: rectangular brass full plate movement, gilt, 1 hammer / 1 bell, 8-day power reserve, solid movement pillars, 2 barrels, applied pin wheel for calendar indications, platform with cylinder escapement, ring balance.
