A rare German quarter repeating coach clock.
Case: outer case - silver, coated with leather, sound holes, stud decoration, large lateral hinge. Inner case - silver, pierced border costly engraved with birds and flowers, oval cartouche with engraved rural landscape, rear bell. Dial: silver, Champlevé, inlaid Roman hours, blued Fleur-de-Lys hands. Movm.: fine full plate movement, keywind, firegilt, applied engraved ornaments, signed, chain/fusee, 2 hammers, baluster movement pillars, three-arm iron balance, very finely florally engraved pierced balance cock. Joshua Wilson was working in London at Lombard Street in 1712 and at Clement's Lane in 1720.
