An early 19th Century English verge in an Unusual memento mori skull form case. Full plate fire gilt movement with fusee and chain. Pierced and engraved masked cock, silver regulator disc. Plain three arm steel balance, blue steel spiral hairspring. Convex white enamel dial with Arabic numerals, blue steel hands. Unusual cast metal case realistically painted in the form of a memento mori skull. Signed: Thos Simson Hertford.
