English Satinwood Mantle Clock circa 1815

Description: A very nice early 19th century English satinwood time-only mantle timepiece by Thomas Weeks, Coventry Street, London.
Case: The shaped satinwood case has ebony trim, a brass backplate and stands on four feet with leveling screws. It is surmounted by a large finial flanked by draped garlands.
Dial: The white porcelain dial with black lettering has Roman numerals for the hours, Arabic numbers for the five-minute marks, elaborate gilt time hands, a steel-cut seconds bit and is signed ‘Weeks, Coventry Street, London’.
Movement: The eight-day time only fusee movement has an elaborately engraved backplate, a Weeks’ dead beat escapement planted on the backplate and a heavy half-second pendulum.
Notes: Thomas Weeks (1743-1834) is listed at this address as early as 1810.
