A mid 19th Century quarter repeating English duplex in a gold open face case. Keywind gilt bar movement with suspended going barrel. Plain cock with polished steel regulator, compensation balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. Small gilt duplex escape wheel. Slide quarter repeating on two steel gongs. Engraved silver dial with black Roman numerals, blue steel hands. Plain 18 carat open face case with engraved middle, gold slide to the band. Unusual detachable signed gold cuvette secured by a screw, maker's mark "PM" in a rectangle and London hallmarks, the date letter obscured.
