A fine late 19th Century freesprung keyless reverse fusee with power reserve indication by Kullberg in a gold full hunter case. Gilt three quarter plate keyless movement with fusee and chain. Harrison's maintaining power. Plain pierced bridge cock with diamond endstone. Compensation balance with freesprung blue steel overcoil hairspring. English table roller lever escapement, screwed in jewelling, escape and lever pivots with endstones. Signed white enamel dial with subsidiaries for power reserve and seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel hands. Substantial plain 18 carat full hunter case, engraved initials on the front cover. Gold cuvette with apertures for wind an set if the owner choose to use a key. Gold bow and gilt winding button, maker's mark "JM" in an oval. The winding disabled when the front cover is closed. In a fitted Victor Kullberg presentation case lined with velvet and covered in red morocco. A fine example of English watchmaking which could still be used today. Sold by a Manchester this was manufactured by Kullberg appearing in his work books and bears typical features such as a reverse fusee and bridge cock.
