The colours of the seasons

Radiant sunlight banishes the gloom of winter days, spring arrives and summer is around the corner. This tangible lightness is evident in the delicate hues of the new feminine max bill models.

Harmoniously restrained

The purist max bill by junghans range has been a central element of the Junghans portfolio for decades. Influenced by the ideas of the Bauhaus, the timepieces feature a minimalist design, manifested in the clear layout of the dials. With a diameter of 34 mm, the max bill Handaufzug (hand-winding) models first designed for men in 1961 are now also favoured and worn by women. The origins of the watches can be traced back 60 years to the designs of Max Bill. Exciting, vitalising nuances in the max bill Handaufzug and max bill Damen series mean that the timepieces are flourishing again in 2016.

Refreshing colours

For the sunny, warmer months there are now new variations of the design classic, in spring-like pastel colours. Radiant white straps form a harmonious contrast to the gentle, graceful colours of the respective dials: a delicate pink reflects the colour of cherry blossom, cool blue evokes a refreshing sea breeze on a hot summer's day, whilst the honey-coloured dial hints at the sun itself. Like the leather straps, they shimmer in the light. The minute graduation with the characteristic luminescent points at 3, 6, 9 and 12 o'clock ensure that the time can be easily read at a glance. A distinctive design, with gentle, light colour nuances heralding balmy summer evenings. Throughout the year a model featuring a graphite grey dial and light grey leather strap with felt-structure delivers classic purism in impressive design to the wrists of watch lovers.

The max bill by junghans range

In keeping with the premise "form follows function", artist and Bauhaus scholar Max Bill created a timepiece of a very special kind. The logical dial layout of the 1956 Max Bill kitchen clock, a design milestone, became the characteristic feature of his timepieces, incorporated into the design of the first Max Bill wrist-watches in 1961. The artist placed particular emphasis on the combination of utilitarian value and beauty. With clear lines and the strive for aesthetic perfection, the design classics of the max bill by junghans range are still created in nearly the same way.
