Sonnenuhren Timm Delfs

Timm Delfs’ shop in Basel is one of the very few having specialized in sundials of all kinds. The owner knows how to calculate sundials for buildings or sculptures. In his shop, located in the old town of Basel, he offers a wide variety of contemporary sundials, some of which are equipped with sophisticated technologies like light-transmitting fibres.

In the Baselworld showcase you will be able to discover a Precision Sundial that gives time precise to the minute. It automatically compensates the errors of the equation of time without any moving parts.

There is the globe-shaped universal sundial Helios Mondo that can be adjusted to any time-zone. It shows the time via an illuminated dot and can indicate the zones of day- and night-time on earth.

The Helios Icarus is a portable world-timer featuring all time-zones. It works without a compass, but nevertheless shows you where North and South are.

The Helios Polaris is a compact desktop sundial that indicates the wandering of local noon over the surface of the earth, showing you when it’s time to pause for your colleagues around the globe.

The small brass Astrolabe is a fully functional copy of an instrument made and used around 1500.
