Deutscher Uhrmacher
Johann Georg Thiell (auch Thiellen und Thiele [1]) wurde 1714 geboren und war in Bremen ansässig [2].
G.H. Baillie erwähnt in seinem Buch Watchmakers & Clockmakers of the World auf Seite 311 den Uhrmacher Thiell wie folgt: London, 1768, watch with temperature compensation by brass rods on steel base [3].
Zu der Sammlung des Württembergischen Landesmuseums Stuttgart gehört das Chronometer Nr. 1 des Bremer Uhrmachers, welches heute (2015) im Mathematisch-Physikalischen Salon in Dresden ausgestellt wird [4]..
