Filigreed mechanics and the dazzling art of watchmaking
Taking up the well-established tradition of skeletonized watches from Glashütte, the manufactory has created the beautiful Senator Manual Winding - Skeletonized Edition.
The elegant two-hand model is presented in a perfectly polished red gold case, 42 mm in diameter, which frames the painstakingly skeletonized manual winding movement and features a 40 hour power reserve.
The galvanized skeletonized dial is decoratively enhanced by a black railroad minute ring and finely drawn Roman numerals. Delicate blued hour and minute hands indicate the time of day.
The Senator Manual Winding Skeletonized Edition opens up the art of Glashütte watchmaking to the connoisseur’s admiring eye: the precisely executed skeletonization reveals the quintessential beauty of the manufactory Calibre 49-18.
The filigreed work of art is protected on the dial side by a sapphire crystal, antireflective on both sides, and by an antireflective sapphire crystal fitted to the case back, offering the wearer an exceptional view of the movement’s elaborately finished components and artful engravings.
Characteristic features of the art of watchmaking in Glashütte such as the winding wheels with double-sunburst decoration, screw-mounted gold chatons with blued screws, hand-engraved plates and the lavishly finished swan-neck fine adjustment, offer clear evidence of precise craftsmanship and an extraordinary love of detail. An elaborate, sophisticated process allows the gold engraved lettering and movement numbers to appear in distinct contrast to the rhodium-plated movement.
This elegant model is fitted with a matt black Louisiana alligator leather strap with foldover clasp in red gold, and is presented to its future owner in an elegant, highly polished, dark brown wooden case.
