BASELWORLD 2008: Lady Serenade Chronograph
Functional Elegance with a Touch of Luxury
Women everywhere will enjoy the Glashütte Original manufactory’s latest collection of classic ladies’ watches: the fine, feminine Lady Serenade.
Model variations of these new timepieces are expressions of feminine elegance that matches any wardrobe: from light and sporty through formal business dresses all the way to stylish eveningwear.
The Saxon luxury watch manufactory now extends the spectrum of its first-class collection for the modern cosmopolitan with a sporty variation by the name of Lady Serenade Chronograph.
This chronograph is housed in a 38-millimeter case and is a functional daily companion, combining modern technical perfection with a touch of luxury. The model is available in two different case materials: rose gold and stainless steel.
Both variations are outfitted with a shimmering pastel-colored dial created from paper-thin mother-of-pearl.
Roman numerals mark the 12 and 6 o’clock positions on the dial, while applied rose gold markers illustrate divisions of other hours.
The designers have placed special value on the balanced positioning of the minute counter at 9 o’clock and the running subsidiary seconds dial at 3 o’clock with the result an especially charming and impressive dial design. A luxury version of the ladies’ timepiece sees the polished bezel framed with shining brilliant-cut diamonds.
The Lady Serenade line, introduced last year, is a completely new line with regard to its design. Once again, the designers and movement designers of the German luxury manufactory have successfully proved their talent, creating a classic timepiece within a charmingly feminine case.
The curved line visible on the Lady Serenade Chronograph is characteristic of the line: facets run across the sides of the case in soft arcs. The crown is consciously playful, decorated with an onyx or brilliant-cut diamond depending on the model.
Completing the elitist look, the Lady Serenade Chronograph is also available in rose gold on a shimmering brown satin strap.
