Emile Huguenin (Virchaux) wurde geboren am 5. März 1826 in Le Locle als Sohn von Abram-Louis Huguenin-Virchaux and Augustine Vuille
was a watchmaker, who initially received a passport ”for France and elsewhere” on 14 March 1848. A second passport was issued on 29 October 1850, and this time the destination was given as New York, where he arrived on 31 December 1850 on board the “New York’. Emile’s sister, Françoise (b. Le Locle, 16 03 1828), also received a passport for New York on 23 August 1849.
