Jeffrys & Jones London circa 1790, Pearl Set Gold and Enamel English Watch.

An attractive late 18th Century English watch. Jeffrys & Jones, 1776 - 1800. Well known makers of richly decorated watches. A late 18th Century English gold and enamel pearl set watch. Full plate fire gilt movement, pierced and engraved cock with diamond endstone, silver regulator disc. Fusee and chain with Harrison's maintaining power. Plain three arm gold balance, blue steel spiral hairspring. Well converted to English table roller lever escapement. Wound through the fine white enamel dial, Arabic numerals, gold hands. Attractive 18 carat gold consular case, the back of translucent dark blue enamel over a decorative engine turned ground. Single row of large split pearls to the bezels. Gold bow and pendant with a button to open the sprung front bezel. Diameter 47 mm.
