An early 19th Century English ruby cylinder in a silver open face case. Full plate gilt keywind fusee movement with dust cover. Harrison's maintaining power. Engraved cock with diamond endstone, gilt Bosley regulator, plain three arm steel balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. Screwed in jewelling, ruby cylinder, large 18 tooth brass escape wheel, pivots with endstones. White enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel seconds hand, gold hands. Purpose made plain silver open face case hallmarked London 1862, lateral steel stop lever under the bezel. Signed Grayhurst Harvey & Co. Strand, Circa 1820, Diameter 53 mm, Depth 14 mm.
