The straps’ colour tones are reminiscent of the collaboration between the architect, designer and artist Max Bill and the Schramberg-based company which started out with a legendary kitchen clock design in 1956. This first timepiece was, in addition to white, available in a rosé and light blue version. The clock face design served as the inspiration for Max Bill’s popular range of wrist watches which managed to advance as modern design classic until today. In addition to its ‘good form’, a flat case and a diameter of 32.7 mm, the max bill ladies’ watch also impresses with its internal values. 222 pieces of gold
With its exclusive women’s watch in an 18 karat gold case, Junghans is presenting a genuine collector’s item. The sophisticated timepiece has been created for fans of pure luxury materials and is available in a worldwide limited edition series of 222 pieces only. The numbering alludes to Max Bill’s favourite number, 22, which has been of great significance throughout his entire life. Not only was the artist born on 22 December, other key events also took place on a 22nd, such as his marriage to his wife Binia. In his limited collections, Max Bill has always reserved the no. 22 for himself. One of his sculptures, a square marble plate with 22 holes following an angular spiral pattern is also known as ‘22’.
