Englischer Juweliere, Goldschmiede, Silberschmiede und Uhrenhändler
Das erste Kapitel in der Geschichte von Pearce & Sons Ltd wurde vor etwa 170 Jahren geschrieben in 1838 , als Herr Henry Pearce gründete eine Firma von Juwelieren und Silberschmieden und Uhrmacher in Grantham Linconshire. Das Geschäft verlief mit rascher Geschwindigkeit, so sehr, dass Henry in einer glücklichen Lage ist, in der Lage, jeden seiner drei Söhne in Juweliergeschäfte so weit auseinander wie Leicester, Leeds und Huddersfield etablieren konnte. Letztlich Leicester und Leeds als ein Unternehmen kombiniert, wobei der Niederlassung in Leicester Gallowtree Tor geöffnet und anschließend Umzug nach 7-9 Marktplatz. Das Jahr 1929 sah die Gründung eines neuen Regimes und der Bach-Familie hatte die Aktien Pearce & Sons, schrittweisen Ausbau im Laufe der Jahre in der Übernahme des alteingesessenen Juwelieren W. Mansell von Lincoln im Jahr 1947 und W. Bowley von Melton Mowbray gipfelte im Jahr 1969. Das bringt uns bis zu der heutigen Zeit und nach dem Verkauf der Freigütern am Lincoln und Leicester in 1991 und 2002 die Melton Mowbray Niederlassung wurde von dem damaligen Geschäftsführer Anthony Smith einer der Gründungsdirektoren Urenkel und Tony Doubleday erworben. Das Jahr 2007 sah die Eröffnung einer neuen Niederlassung bei 11 Mill Street, Oakham. Im Laufe der letzten 170 Jahre der Schmuckbranche hat sich verändert und entwickelt, aber der ursprüngliche Wert auf Service und Aufmerksamkeit zum Detail bleiben die gleichen. Wir hoffen, dieses gibt eine kurze Geschichte unseres Erbes und wir hoffen, auch weiterhin das gleiche Niveau an Service und Aufmerksamkeit zum Detail bieten für die nächsten 170 Jahre. The first chapter in the story of Pearce & Sons Ltd was written some 170 years ago in 1838 when Mr Henry Pearce founded a firm of jewellers and silversmiths und Uhrmacher in Grantham Linconshire. Business progressed at a brisk rate, so much so that Henry was in a happy position of being able to establish each of his three sons in jewellery shops as far apart as Leicester, Leeds and Huddersfield.
Ultimately Leicester and Leeds combined as one company, the Leicester branch being opened in Gallowtree gate and subsequently relocating to 7-9 market place.
The year 1929 saw the inception of a new regime and the Brook family acquired the shares in Pearce & Sons, gradual expansion over the years culminated in the acquisition of the old established jewellers W. Mansell of Lincoln in 1947 and W. Bowley of Melton Mowbray in 1969.
This brings us up to the current times and following the sale of the freeholds at Lincoln and Leicester in 1991 and 2002 the Melton Mowbray branch was acquired by the then directors Anthony Smith one of the founding directors great grandsons and Tony Doubleday.
The year 2007 saw the opening of a new branch at 11 Mill Street, Oakham. Over the past 170 years the jewellery trade has altered and evolved but the original emphasis on service and attention to detail remain the same.
We hope this gives a short history of our heritage and we hope to continue to offer the same level of service and attention to detail for the next 170 years.
On the right is Pearce and Son Ltd., jewellers and silversmiths at no. 39 Bond Street. Intricate metalwork, incorporating a clock, runs along the top of the windows which are shaded with awnings. Pearce and Sons were also diamond merchants and watchmakers.
