Features and developments of Rolex

Winding Crown, Twinlock and Triplock

Rolex Twinlock & Triplock
Rolex GMT MASTER-II Cerachrom bezel
Rolex Helium escape valve
Parachrom hairspring
Rolex Oyster case with the Rolex fluting

To distinguish the winding crown of the Oyster collection Rolex places additional signs below the distinctive Rolex-Crown, depending on the type of winding crown and the material of the watch. A watch with a Twinlock Winding Crown which is made of steel gets a dash, a case made of gold (white-, yellow- und Everose gold) has two dots und just one dot, if it is made of platinum. As a mark for a Triplock Winding crown three dots are standing for steel, a watch made of gold has three dots also, but with one bigger in the middle. With a case made of platinum the size of the tree dots is exactly opposite.
