An Exceptional Order - the TOURBOGRAPH “Pour le Mérite”, ordered by Dubail, Paris

With an unequalled combination, this exceptional timepiece is on display at Dubail, 21, Place Vendôme,75001 Paris, France

The most precious piece A. Lange & Söhne has ever made is a TOURBOGRAPH “Pour le Mérite”, a one-of-a-kind timepiece ordered by Dubail, Paris, valued at 1.75 million USD. It is entirely set with diamonds (40.6 carats) and required two years to make.

Dubail, A. Lange & Söhne’s historic partner in Paris, chose to team up with the master watchmakers who, once again, have pulled out all the stops to enthral the loyal visitors of Place Vendôme and fans of the brand with a true masterpiece: the TOURBOGRAPH “Pour le Mérite”. Set with 377 diamonds (40.6 carats Top Wesselton VVS), this piece of exceptional jewellery-making was designed according to A. Lange & Söhne’s strictest quality criteria, and was assembled and decorated entirely by hand.

In 2005, A. Lange & Söhne presented its first tourbillon wristwatch with the intricate fusée-and-chain transmission and a rattrapante chronograph mechanism. Of the lineage of the TOURBILLON “Pour le Mérite” introduced in 1994, this wristwatch once again unites the two most complex mechanisms ever designed to improve the watch’s long-term precision. But that’s not all. As the TOURBOGRAPH “Pour le Mérite” name suggests, this exceptional watch also contains a timing mechanism.

The TOURBOGRAPH “Pour le Mérite” manufactured by A. Lange & Söhne especially for Dubail is much more than just a tourbillon watch and much more than just a chronograph. Today, we can confidently state that, thanks to the combination of its extraordinary complications and its exceptional setting, this model has no equal anywhere in the world.
