Myles Brockbank war der Sohn von Edward Brockbank (1701-1777) und Mary Thompson. Er absolvierte ab 1769 [1] bei seinem Bruder John Brockbank eine Ausbildung zum Uhrmacher und war in London tätig. 1776 wurde er Mitglied und 1796 livery Clockmakers Company [2]. Gemeinsam gründeten sie 1806 die Firma John & Myles Brockbank und schufen die Marke Brockbanks [3].
