Onwards and upwards, with accuracy: with its unmistakable pilot watch char-acter, functionally stylish design and optimal technical precision, the Erhard Junghans AERIOUS conveys a breathtaking feeling of flying as well as the exact time. The black bezel and new dial design serve to further underscore the characteristic traits of the current model versions of the AERIOUS Chronoscope with even more energy and dynamism. As a sporty reinterpreta-tion of a pilot watch classic, the AERIOUS not only makes the observer the wearer of a watch capable of mastering any adventure but also lends the impression of being a pilot gazing at the instruments in the cockpit of a classic plane. The AERIOUS is ready for take-off – at any time, down to the second.

The distinctive characteristics of the AERIOUS are the ergonomically-formed stainless-steel pushers at 3 to 5 o'clock, combining optimal functionality with distinctive design. As a result, all of the functions are easily and conveniently operable, even whilst wearing gloves, whether by land or air. In addition to the solid stainless-steel case with a diameter of 46.6 millimetres, the new, accentuated look of the AERIOUS is also influenced by black hexagonal screws lowered contrastingly into the stainless-steel case. They skilfully combine with the black bezel, black cowhide strap and dark dial to deliver stylish perfection with a sporty accent.

The design of the AERIOUS dial serves to redefine the view offered by the watch: a glimpse of a fascinating array of timekeeping instruments. In keeping with this, the three standard totalisers of the chronograph have been joined by a fourth, which displays power reserve and date. All four are positioned in round windows around the centre of the dial. The connection to the classic cockpit is provided in the form of an embossed metal bridge, reaching from the enlarged numbers 9 to 3. Here too, there is a perfect balance between aesthetic and functionality. Hands

and numerals are all equipped with a Super-Luminova coating to ensure legibility in even the poorest visibility. The exclusive pilot chronoscope is powered by the proven J890 automatic movement. Equipped with an intermediate wheel chronoscope and a power reserve of over 48 hours, stylishly finished with blued screws and Côtes de Genève finishing on bridges and rotor.

In its stylistic and functional entirety the Erhard Junghans AERIOUS Chronoscope, part of the latest Junghans collection, represents the strong character and uncompromising approach to design and technical functionality of a high-class pilot watch that writes its own history over the course of time. The consistent development towards increasingly sporty dynamism and aesthetic extravagance can consequently be traced from the first model of the series through to the sportiest version in 2012. A time-piece that maintains both course and altitude.
