''The Senator Tourbillon – Edition Alfred Helwig appears to contradict the law of gravity in two ways at once: The untiring rotation of its Flying Tourbillon resists the pull of gravity, and the filigreed mounting reinforces the impression of pure weightlessness. With its new, light dial and individual numbering, the edition, limited to 25 pieces, offers moving insights into the lightness of being.''

It only takes a glance to recognize the 1960s. This extraordinary period’s unmistakable look and feel lives on in the movies and the music, architecture and design we still admire today. German design from the 1960s reflects the era and stands apart in a world of its own, stylish in a retro-modern way, elegant and independent. An authentic tribute to the spirit of the times, Glashütte Original’s Senator Sixties Panorama Date celebrates the most exciting and intriguing decade of the 20th century.

A statement of principle: less is more. Minimalism.  Modern design.  Function takes on form, and color is transformed into a subtle range of grays. The PanoMaticLunar XL. The quintessential understatement. The PanoMaticLunar XL presents the classic lines and look of the PanoMatic XL models in an understated, eloquent form.

But there was no hesitation when, in [[1990/en|1990]], [[Lange, Walter|Walter Lange]] had the opportunity to revitalise the factory of his forefathers, whose operations were interrupted by the Cold War and the division of Germany into East and West. He was 66 years old at the time. After a 40-year-long involuntary hiatus, Walter Lange managed to breathe new life into the legend of the historical brand and to successfully take on the powerful competition from Swiss watchmakers. The clever idea of bringing Germany’s most famous watch brand back to life was so powerful that it made its way to reality.

Mühle-Glashütte is now honouring the life and work of its founder with its new Robert Mühle special edition, which also breathes fresh life into a classic complication that is now a rare treasure: the date hand. As you would expect from a timepiece made in a genuine manufacturing workshop, the mechanism was personally designed by Mühle-Glashütte's expert watchmakers themselves. This exclusive characteristic is even more enhanced by the fact that this special edition watch is limited to a total of just 100 pieces.
