Case: gold, smooth, reeded band, case maker punch mark "CJ". Dial: enamel, peripheral hour dial with Arabic numerals, centre seconds, peripheral dial for date indication, peripheral dial for month indication, pierced hands. Movm.: full plate movement, keywind, frosted, gilt, chain/fusee, solid movement pillars, three-arm brass balance, blued balance spring, engraved and florally pierced balance bridge, large silver regulator disc.

A gentleman's exquisite quarter repeating pocket watch with 2 jacquemarts Case: silver, pink gold pendant, bezels and hinges, engine-turned, reeded band with slide for silence, pusher for repetition via pendant, case maker "Dupré". Dial: silver, finely engraved, screwed-on bell-striking figures at the altar of love: on the left a young lady with a basket, on the right the winged Eros with his love arrows, in a very finely engraved landscape with grass and flowers. Flanked by two stylized fluted columns; eccentric hour chapter ring with inlaid radial Roman hours and engine-turned centre, blued steel hands. Movm.: full plate movement, keywind, firegilt, chain/fusee, 2 hammers / 2 gongs, duplex escapement, three-arm brass balance, engraved and florally pierced balance bridge.

Roux, Romand, Bordier & Comp. The Bordier brothers were associated watchmakers as early as 1794. In 1815, they worked at the Grand Mézel. In 1794, they took Roux and Romand into partnership, establishing the company Bordier, Roux, Romand & Cie. Between 1794 and 1811, they were specialised in automaton repeating watches as well as complicated or skeletonized watches, with perpetual calendar, often decorated with painted enamels, pearls and gemstones.
