On January 28, 1899, Stolz Frères SA submitted the Patent CH-18282 for a refined repeater mechanism for all kinds of Repeater Strike (chime) clocks and watches. On January 28, 1958, Helmut Epperlein announced his invention under the official German Design (Number 1.842.778) for a long spool (coil) on the balance and a magnetic system with three magnets. (See also: Hamilton Watch Company) Until January 28, 2005, Ferdinand Alexander Porsche belonged to the Board of Directors for the Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, in Stuttgart.
