Senator Automatic

Glashütte Original’s Senator Automatic embodies the respect for traditional approaches to watch design: Slender black Roman numerals adorn a silver dial circumscribed by a fine black railroad track minute ring. Pear shaped, blued steel hour and minute hands and a slim, blued steel seconds hand with double-G counterweight enhance the harmony of the dial, which is covered by a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides. The case, made from polished red gold, is only 9,9 mm thick. A sapphire crystal in the polished case back provides on opens view of the hand-crafted, finely finished automatic caliber 39-59 with an operating frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz) and a 40-hour power reserve. Trademark features of this movement include polished stainless steel components with bevelled edges, a fine swan-neck adjustment, screw-mounted gold chatons and the traditional Glashütte three-quarter plate with skeletonized rotor, both with traditional Glashütte ribbing. The Senator Automatic from Glashütte Original is also available in a polished stainless steel housing. Both rose gold and stainless steel versions are fitted with a black Louisiana Alligator leather strap with tang buckle.
