Bayard has been overtaken by the Watch and Juwelerycompany "Laval" on March 16, 1987. On March 16, 2006 the Town Glashütte creates, as an result of a tendering, with the manufactory Glashütte Original a common foundation which shall act in sense of common good for creation and operation of the watch museum, the archive and the library as well as the public workshops.
