Biography of the Week Hans Wilsdorf Deutscher Geschäftsmann Hans Wilsdorf wurde am 22. März 1881 in Kulmbach geboren. Er gründete die renommierte Luxusuhrenmarke Rolex. Wilsdorf wuchs im fränkischen Kulmbach auf. Mit 12 Jahren wurde er zum Vollwaisen. Nach einer kaufmännischen Ausbildung verlässt er 1900 Deutschland, um in La Chaux-de-Fonds in der Schweiz bei einem Import/Export-Geschäft als Angestellter zu arbeiten.
