Biography of the Week Raymond, Benjamin Wright Amerikanischer Uhrenfabrikant Benjamin Wright Raymond wurde am 15. Juni 1801 geboren. Gemeinsam mit J.C. Adams gründete Raymond 1864 in Elgin/Illinois unter dem Namen "The National Watch Co" eine Taschenuhrenfabrikation. Die ersten Uhren wurden 1867 verkauft. Das erste selbstentwickelte Werk war mit einer Vollplatine ausgestattet und wurde nach dem Firmengründer Benjamin W. Raymond benannt.
