Christian Friedrich Tiede wurde am 22. August 1794 in Neubukow (Mecklenburg-Vorpommern) geboren. Er absolvierte eine Schlosserlehre bei seinem Vater, doch der Mangel an physischer Kraft ließ es notwendig erscheinen einen anderen Beruf zu wählen. Und so wurde der junge Tiede nach Wismar geschickt um von dem Uhrmachermeister Oldenburg ausgebildet zu werden. Nach seiner Uhrmacherlehre arbeitete er fünf Jahre bei Delolme in Braunschweig, dann in Leipzig und in Dresden bei Gutkaes wo er eine Freundschaft mit Ferdinand Adolph Lange gründete. 1825 mietete Tiede in der Mittelstraße in ...
